PostSubject: A recomended Reading/Watching/Browsing Sub-Forum   Wed Dec 16, 2009 2:18 pm

I would like to recommend having a centralized directory of sorts where we can post findings of Books, Movies, Documentaries, subject specific websites ect. Media that we think is recommended for watching/reading in connection with theory and conspiracy.

Perhaps stratifying the Conspiracy Hunter's Photo Gallery to two topics: (and re-naming the header topic)

Conspiracy Hunter's Gallery

The Photo Gallery - Place to show off photos that you have taken or found of unusual things.

The Codex - A Library of recommended media, share your finds in media and on the internet.

Like any library, it should be organized, with a sticky at the top with Posting guidelines and posting format.

IE:

Title: (name of book, show, site, also named in the post title.)
Form of Media: (book, documentary, interview, podcast, ect.)
Theme: (specifics themes and conspiracies covered.)
Author: (if applicable)
Link: (Link to source site, Amazon, YouTube, ect.)

Summary: (subjects covered)

Commentary: (your thoughts on the matter, in particular how it relates to conspiracy theory.)

I would recommend that each posting start with the above format in order for the other members to easily locate media that interests them in their particular area of thought and research. I think it is very important that the title be in the name of the post, not just a "Found cool book, dudes check it out.

Here is an example of one that I would post:

Trinity & Beyond - The Atomic Bomb Movie
Documentary
WMD, Nuclear weapons development
Directed by Peter Kuran with narration by William Shatner
YouTube Preview:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2jwM7qKjaA
Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Trinity-Beyond-Atomic-Bomb-Movie/dp/B000GFRI72
Unrated, but graphic

Covers the development of the first Nuclear Device detonated at the Trinity Site in Nevada and follows the history of Nuclear weapons reserch through the Cold War and includes the first successful test by China.

This documentary is meant to inform. It doesn't attempt to persuade one for or against their use, sensationalize their existence or inspire fear. Despite that, it does serve as a chilling reminder of the awesome power of the atom. A must see for anyone interested in Nuclear WMD.

Thanks! At first I was unsure how to convey the thought that I had, but I think the message came across pretty well.
